As a JDO Layout Engineer CI-BOP, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the design and construction of Hinkley Point C – the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations, helping Britain on its journey towards An Electric Britain. You’ll be part of an integrated team solving technical challenges during construction and commissioning, making sure designs work in practice and contribute to the success of this landmark project.

Who You Are
You’re someone who enjoys solving problems and working with others to make things happen. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Qualified to Degree Level or equivalent experience
- Experience in previous EPR or other nuclear projects
- Good knowledge 3D design software (Navisworks)
- Experience managing technical topics and layout impacts
- Strong organisational and communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks across teams
- Proven ability to meet commitments and deadlines
- Eligibility for BPSS security clearance (basic background check)
Desirable qualifications and experiences are:
- Experience of nuclear site engineering
- Experience in plant layout engineering
- Experience of UK design context and regulatory processes
- Experience of HPC
- French language skills
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing site requests for layout impacts and creating practical solutions
- Working with HVAC, piping, electrical, and civil teams on design changes
- Managing design change processes and updating plans
- Collaborating with construction teams and contractors to resolve issues
- Reporting progress, raising alerts, and sharing lessons learned
The activities will be performed under the supervision of the Layout Team lead. Any technical issue or deviations, any area of improvement identified and any need of specific support to perform the activities need to be shared with Layout Team Lead, and if needed to the Layout Discipline Lead.
Pay, Benefits And Culture
