The Opportunity

This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at both Sizewell B Power Station and Gloucester Business Park. The Sizewell B Technical Engineering team supports extending the life of Sizewell B Power Station by 20 years, providing low carbon generation until 2055. You will gain hands-on experience, be mentored by highly skilled professionals, and contribute to real-world projects that impact performance, safety, and efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

During your Technical Engineering Industrial Placement, you will play a key role in supporting the work to extend the life of Sizewell B, focusing on one of the key programmes of Structural Integrity, Control & Instrumentation, Equipment Qualification or Ageing and Obsolescence.

You will gain valuable exposure to large programmes of technical work, understanding the lifecycle of technical work from planning through to delivery of safety justifications, and the importance of stakeholder engagement, risk management, and compliance activities.

Your Work Location

You will be based in Gloucester Business Park with the Joint Technical Centre.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this scheme, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Materials or a related discipline.
