Supply Chain Industrial Placement

EDF (UK) in Bridgwater, England, is seeking an undergraduate or postgraduate student with a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or 2:2) in disciplines such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geography, Sciences, Supply Chain, or Logistics to join our Commercial Management (Supply Chain Directorate) Industrial Placement programme.

What You’ll Be Doing

During the 12‑month placement you will support the delivery of Hinkley Point C by managing contracts, supplier relationships and governance processes. You will attend supplier conferences, contribute to tendering and negotiations, and help develop supply chain strategies. Past students have supported the development of the Supply Chain’s data strategy, created automated reporting using PowerBI, enhanced insight in supplier relationship management, and contributed to regulatory engagement and strategic updates.

Who You Are

You are self‑motivated, analytical and eager to learn and develop. You will be keen to build skills in communication, problem‑solving, teamwork and time‑management within a commercial environment. You will also have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship may be possible but those with the right to work in the UK will be prioritised.

Security Vetting

To be appointed to this role you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which ordinarily requires you to have British residency for the last five years.
