The opportunity

As a Senior Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimising our onshore wind assets, ensuring safe and reliable performance across the lifecycle of each turbine. Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is primarily based at our #Meadowfield Service Centre in #Durham. You’ll work on‑site, supporting operations and maintenance activities to the highest standards. We’ll invest in your development with ongoing training and mentoring, giving you the chance to enhance your technical skills and progress your career in the fast‑growing renewables sector.

Who you are

  • Time‑served Engineer (electrical or mechanical) with proven experience in operations and maintenance
  • AT/AE qualification under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)
  • Electrical or Mechanical HNC/HND/NVQ or equivalent
  • Significant technical expertise gained through hands‑on operational environments
  • Ability to work on‑site at #Meadowfield Service Centre, living within easy commutable distance.
  • Equally important is a genuine enjoyment and enthusiasm for working in this field.
  • You must have a full, clean UK Driving Licence.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on wind turbines
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and WTSR requirements
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently
  • Supporting high‑voltage switching and isolation activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to optimise turbine performance
