The Opportunity
This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at #Bristol in our Aztec West office – supporting the Instrumentation & Control Programme for Hinkley Point C.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience in project coordination, risk management and supplier engagement. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real‑world challenges, and develop technical, analytical and collaborative skills that will support your future career.
What You’ll Be Doing
During your Instrumentation & Control Industrial Placement, you’ll assist in developing project plans, coordinating meetings, and supporting documentation and quality control. You’ll help identify risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
Past students have developed tools to improve supplier project management, supported IP removal processes from design documents, participated in factory inspections, and led stakeholder meetings and tracker reviews. You’ll apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
Your Work Location
You’ll be based at our Aztec West office in #Bristol, where you’ll be part of a team supporting the delivery of Instrumentation & Control systems for Hinkley Point C.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve – or have already achieved – a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree (2:2 or higher) in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Software, Electrical Engineering or Physics.
