Are you ready to lead a high-performing commercial team on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects? At EDF, we’re looking for a Commercial Lead to drive strategic commercial delivery across a portfolio of contracts at Hinkley Point C.
The Opportunity
The Commercial Lead will typically be responsible for a contract(s) up to £800m in value subject to level of risk or complexity. The Commercial Lead will typically lead a commercial team of up to 10.
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the full commercial lifecycle of high-value contracts, from procurement strategy through to final account. You’ll be the primary commercial contact for your portfolio, working closely with stakeholders across the HPC project to ensure successful delivery and alignment with broader programme goals.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead a team of commercial professionals, guiding them through procurement, contract execution, and close-out phases. Your strategic oversight will ensure contracts are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and risk profiles.
You’ll manage supplier relationships, oversee performance, and ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated. You’ll also drive continuous improvement, applying lessons learned and best practices to enhance delivery outcomes.
As a senior leader, you’ll engage with stakeholders across the business, including executives, regulators, and external bodies. Your decisions will shape the commercial success of the HPC project and contribute to the UK’s low-carbon energy future.
Who You Are
You bring extensive experience in commercial and contract management, ideally within major infrastructure or energy projects. You’ve led commercial teams and worked as part of senior project leadership, making sound decisions on high-value matters.
You’re a member of a recognised professional body (RICS, CICES, IOB or equivalent), educated to degree level, and familiar with NEC and FIDIC contracts. Your understanding of UK law, regulatory frameworks, and supply chain management equips you to navigate complex commercial landscapes.
