Overall Objectives: The Deployment Operations team is critical for maintaining the operational efficiency of the organisation, ensuring end users can accomplish business tasks. This is achieved through ownership of day-to-day deployment and management of operational systems, including managing builds, packaging and deploying software, and ensuring security tooling coverage. The team leads the implementation of new deployments and participates in the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
The team's key responsibilities include:
- Deployment Operations:
- Third Level Support & Incident Management: Lead the resolution of complex incidents and provide expert support for Level 3/4 issues.
- Problem Management: Manage and resolve recurring problems to minimise downtime and ensure rapid incident resolution.
- Knowledge Creation: Develop and maintain knowledge articles for Level 1 and 2 support teams.
- Application Management: Oversee management of key applications (Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, Windows 10/11).
- Build Management: Manage the deployment process, including packaging, and distributing software applications.
- Software Deployment: Deploy software updates, patches, and new releases to end-user devices.
- Access Control: Maintain and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for user system access, in systems such as Active Directory and InTune.
- CMDB: Develop and maintain the CMDB and asset management registers.
- Processes: Define and implement team processes to handle all support activities, and provide up-to-date documentation.
- Incident management: Record and monitor progress of all incidents and service requests raised into the central ITSM tools.
- Monitoring: Monitor the availability, performance and throughput of supported applications.
- Change Control: Operate within a change-controlled environment, by creating thorough deployment plans and presenting business and technical changes to the change board.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with relevant teams to plan, test and implement on-going enhancements to systems.

Technical requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Financial Services Experience: Worked with mission-critical applications in the financial industry.
- Windows Troubleshooting: Diagnosed application issues in Windows 11 environments.
- Scripting and Excel Skills: Proficient in PowerShell or alternative scripting language and Excel/VBA.
- ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL is preferred: completion of the ITIL Foundation course will be required within 6 months if not already attained.
