**Department** Communications

**Position purpose** The Communications Officer supports the delivery of high-impact internal communications and employee engagement. The role plays an important part in ensuring our people stay informed, connected, and engaged in a fast-moving and dynamic global energy trading environment. The role is responsible for coordinating and implementing communications across multiple channels, leading specific campaigns and initiatives, and ensuring employees receive clear, timely and consistent information aligned with business priorities.

**Main responsibilities**

  • **Internal Communications & Content**
  • Support the planning and delivery of internal communications campaigns and employee engagement initiatives across the business
  • Create clear, engaging and creative content for a range of internal channels
  • Generate compelling editorial content covering company news, events, initiatives and employee stories
  • Work closely with the Communications Director to develop messaging and campaign materials
  • **Intranet & Digital Channels**
    • Own the day-to-day management and development of the company intranet (Sharepoint)
    • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the business, supporting them in sharing content effectively
    • Ensure content remains accurate, relevant and engaging, regularly reviewing pages and identifying opportunities for improvement
    • Work with IT to evaluate and implement new digital tools and platforms to enhance internal communications and employee experience
  • **Companywide Communications**
    • Produce and distribute the weekly all-company email
    • Coordinate and edit updates from teams across the organisation (e.g. HR, IT, Legal, Compliance)
    • Maintain the communications calendar, ensuring visibility and alignment across activities
  • **Events & Employee Engagement**
    • Support the planning and delivery of internal events, town halls and employee engagement initiatives
    • Coordinate logistics, suppliers and materials to ensure smooth execution
    • Develop briefs and work closely with external suppliers (e.g. event organisers, AV providers, graphic designers and hospitality partners) to deliver high-quality, engaging outputs
    • Capture and share content from events, including photography and post-event communications
    • Provide support for external events and industry activity where required
  • **Collaboration & Support**
    • Build strong working relationships across the organisation to support consistent and effective communication
    • Provide flexible support across the communications function as needed in a fast-paced environment

    **Experience required** Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a similar role in an international B2B financial services or energy company.

    **Technical requirements**

    • Strong writing and editing skills, proven ability to translate both corporate and employee stories into clear and engaging content
    • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, combining technical expertise with a keen sense of visual design and impactful content presentation
    • End-to-end event planning and logistics, including venue sourcing and supplier management
    • Ability to use graphic design and video editing tools for light-touch edits and refinements, complementing support from specialist designers (desirable but not essential)

    **Person specification** We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, a flair for creativity, and confidence using a wide range of digital communications tools. You’ll be comfortable drafting clear messaging, managing content platforms, working with external design agencies and photographers, managing event logistics to deliver engaging campaigns and events. This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their communications career to gain exposure across a broad range of internal communications activities within a complex, international business.

    **Hours of work:** 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
