Department
The treasury team is responsible for all aspects of treasury risk management and operations including liquidity management, cash management, FX and IR risk management, interest allocation, collateral management, and bilateral margining.
Position purpose
The junior treasury analyst will be responsible for performing the daily margining processes for the EDFT group.
Main responsibilities
- Process margin call payments and receipts.
- Ensure collateral balances are correctly reflected within CubeLogic (margin management system) and maintain close communication with the collateral team.
- Liaise with external counterparties to resolve margin disputes.
- Liaise with the credit team to ensure credit risks are covered.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including IT and transaction teams.
- Process margin interest receipts and payments.
- Produce daily and monthly reporting relating to operational activities.
- Engage in project work on process improvement and automation.
- Understand systems, position management and MtM valuation processes.
- Use business and commercial awareness to proactively seek solutions.
- Understand treasury products to assist with risk management.
- Prepare reports for both EDFT and EDF meetings.
- Adhere to internal policies, processes and methodologies.
Experience required
- Strong analytical, attention‑to‑detail and organisational skills with a focus on time management under tight deadlines.
- Confident and autonomous individual able to provide good communication and feedback to manager, motivated and resilient.
- General financial and risk management awareness.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in treasury.
- Studied or willing to learn – ACT / Accounting or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
- Proactive "can do" attitude, initiative to appraise and improve existing processes; strong interpersonal skills.
- Excel, Python, SQL or Alteryx knowledge preferred.
- Visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

- Comfortable under time‑pressing conditions.
- Experience working with numbers.
