We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior PowerBI Developer to shape our enterprise data reporting using Microsoft PowerBI. The role provides long term development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

Established in 1783, ED&F Man is an employee-owned agricultural commodities merchant with 2,800 people in 43 countries and annual revenue in excess of $8bn. Key Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced PowerBI dashboards and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate PowerBI with cloud data platform / data marketplace (Snowflake).
  • Implement row-level security and data governance best practices.
  • Support set up of self-service capabilities for the business.
  • Lead and mentor other BI developers and analysts.
  • Conduct data validation and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and industry trends.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis needs across departments.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in leading Business Intelligence & Reporting teams.
  • Significant experience in Business Intelligence development with a focus on Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Spanish language capability highly advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
