In this role, you'll play a key part in developing high-quality financial services that support our work towards An Electric Britain. You'll build your expertise across accounting processes while working with teams who value accuracy, insight and continuous improvement. You’ll join us on a competitive starting salary, determined by your experience and qualifications you hold. You’ll work in a hybrid pattern that blends time at home with time spent collaborating with colleagues at Alexander House. Typically, you’ll spend 2-3 days in the office both during your training period and after. We really value collaborative working. You’ll also travel occasionally to other UK locations for meetings, helping you stay connected across the wider business.
You’ll learn from experienced finance professionals while helping us transition activities into Finance Shared Services. You’ll gain exposure to diverse stakeholders, contribute to month end processes, and develop a strong foundation for future progression in your finance career.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Finance Analyst who enjoys being part of a team, brings a structured approach to their work, and takes pride in delivering accurate financial outputs.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP or a similar financial system would be advantageous
- Experience working in a customer service or shared services environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to interpret and present data clearly
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to provide accurate balance sheet reconciliations with supporting evidence
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting month end financial processes for Power Solutions
- Preparing accurate balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting evidence
- Maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger
- Working with Finance Shared Services to transition activities and improve processes
- Building strong working relationships across Finance and Power Solutions
- Supporting the external audits for the year
