As a Construction Manager, you will oversee the re‑construction of a key section of the SZC works, leading the charge in ensuring safety, efficiency, and on‑time delivery. From tactical logistics planning to stakeholder engagement, your role will encompass the entire construction lifecycle, including:

  • Strategic Execution: helping the PM to develop and implement detailed construction strategies and plans.
  • Project Oversight: delivering new projects into Sizewell C with safety and quality at the forefront of our work.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: collaborating with contractors, regulators, and government bodies to ensure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement: driving innovation and embedding lessons learned to ensure world‑class project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and a proven track record of their implementation.
  • Proven leader with a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex construction and civil engineering projects.
  • Industry expertise within construction and civil engineering.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams on projects and working within regulated environments.
  • Management skills: supervising Tier 1 contractors.
  • Leadership capabilities: inspiring teams, resolving complex issues, and fostering collaboration.
  • Technical knowledge: familiarity with construction methodologies, CDM Regulations, and earned value management tools.
  • Strong communication: excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or a related field desirable.
  • SMSTS and CSCS site manager card – essential.
