Project Context: Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets. All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role.

Summary of Role: The Logistics Manager (Non Working Supervisor (Night Shift)) will be responsible for the distribution of all materials and equipment across HPC to the relevant Dalkia Work Area. They will also manage logistics facilities offsite and develop mechanisms to control all aspects of material control across the site. They will provide non‑working supervision for several Working Supervisors and Operatives and contribute to the development of the Logistics Team, ensuring sufficient resources are planned for.

Accountabilities:

  • Report to and liaise with the Dalkia Construction Manager, to understand the current and pending work activities.
  • Liaise with the Dalkia Project Managers to ensure understanding of their Project Life Cycles and their Material/Equipment requirements.
  • Liaise with the Dalkia Planning/Project Control Teams, to understand what is on the horizon and what the logistical requirements will be.
  • Liaise with the Dalkia Black Hat Superintendents/Supervisors daily, to ensure material and equipment requirements are understood, organised, ordered and delivered to their associated work areas.
  • Liaise with Dalkia Quantity Surveyors.
