As a Senior Data Analyst within Customers Finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reporting. Your insights will support decision‑making and performance, contributing to our journey towards an Electric Britain.

You'll work on high‑impact data challenges across billing, revenue, and debt, supporting financial control and assurance processes. From deep‑dive analysis to improving data quality frameworks, you'll help strengthen the foundations that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse financial data across revenue, billing, and debt to identify trends and insights
  • Support data quality controls including reconciliations, validation, and exception reporting
  • Perform deep‑dive investigations to identify anomalies and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver data‑driven recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting accuracy, and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills with experience working on large, complex, production‑scale datasets
  • Experience working with imperfect datasets, using investigation and logic to identify improvements
  • Experience building data validation, reconciliation, or control processes
  • Exposure to financial, billing, or operational data such as revenue or transactions
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link data insights to financial outcomes and performance
  • Experience managing multiple analytical tasks and prioritising effectively
  • Ability to present data in a clear and actionable way for decision‑making
