LTQR Document Controller

Location: BYLOR, Hinkley

Organisation: BYLOR, a joint venture between Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O’Rourke, delivering civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C.

Job Overview

A highly skilled LTQR Document Controller is needed to join the Digital Quality Team to manage and control all BYLOR records and associated 'End' Reports. The principal remit is to compile and deliver BYLOR records for all work packages to ensure timely handover of documentation following construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of LTQRs: support the production of LTQRs in a timely manner in accordance with BYLOR’s LTQR procedure by
    • identifying
    • snagging
    • compiling
    • submitting / retrieving documents
    • QA checking
  • Quality assurance: Ensure all project LTQR deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Compliance: Ensure record‑keeping practices adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with delivery teams, internal and external stakeholders to ensure LTQR management best practices are followed.
  • List of Deliverables Management: Ensuring accurate population and maintenance of metadata in the respective List of Deliverables.
  • Snag lists / Exception items: support with management of Snag lists and Exception Items, ensuring any outstanding issues or defects are captured for full transparency.
  • Digital Systems Operation: Use designated digital platforms and Electronic Data Management Systems for submitting, retrieving, and sharing, ensuring adherence to document management, version control, and workflow requirements.
  • Day‑to‑day tasks typically involve:
    • snagging, compiling, QA checking, and submitting records
    • liaising with project delivery teams and stakeholders
    • operating digital systems for records management
    • managing lists of exception items and snags
    • supporting completion and handover of work packages
  • Receive initial training and ongoing support from LTQR Coordinators and the Records team.

  • Comfortable with BYLOR digital forms platform – Field View.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proficient in EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems such as Asite and Teamcenter).

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in information management / document control.
  • Previous experience on a construction project.
  • Existing knowledge of a digital records system or document control system.
  • Problem‑solving and logic‑based troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers.
