The QA Technical Clerk (SONIMS) acts as the primary coordinator for the surveillance notification process. The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of Surveillance Offer Notifications (SONs), ensuring that construction milestones are accurately communicated to the Client and Third‑Party Inspection bodies, and managing real‑time schedule changes to ensure seamless inspection attendance.

  • SON Management: Prepare, issue, and track all Surveillance Offer Notifications (SONs) via SONIMS, ensuring they are technically aligned with Follow‑Up Documents (FUDs).
  • Client Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for the Client and Third‑Party Inspectors to confirm attendance and availability for scheduled surveillance activities.
  • Interface Management: Bridge the communication gap between Construction teams and the Client; immediately communicating delays, reschedules, or site readiness issues to all stakeholders.
  • Inspection Readiness: Coordinate with discipline engineers and quality inspectors to verify that work is ready for inspection before formal notifications are issued.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain real‑time trackers of inspection outcomes, findings, and close‑outs to provide visibility on surveillance progress.
  • System Administration: Manage data entry and document flow within the SONIMS platform to ensure a robust audit trail of all surveillance requests.

Any other reasonable activities as requested by the line manager. This position is on a 10 day on 4 day off rotation.

Qualifications: CCNSG required.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar field. For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
