The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly motivated individual to step into the role of Operations Coordinator, based at our state-of-the-art control centre in Eyemouth.
This is your chance to become a key player in the day-to-day operation of EDF\'s Neart Na Gaoithe (NnG) Offshore Windfarm, gaining in-depth knowledge of site-specific equipment and sharing expertise across the wider EDF Group.

Working as part of a tight-knit team on a rotating shift pattern, you\'ll be at the heart of a 24/7 operation-where no two days are the same. From the control room, you\'ll take a lead role in monitoring and controlling the performance of the windfarm, ensuring the safe and efficient running of our assets. What you\'ll be doing

You\'ll be working with the Control Room Supervisor and Production Manager to operate the Eyemouth Control Room, ensuring NnG Windfarm Operations and Logistics are carried out Safely, on-time and to the required standards.

  • Monitor and control a 450MW offshore windfarm.
  • Coordinate with personnel working offshore during operational and maintenance to ensure safe delivery of all planned and unplanned works.
  • Ensure that the windfarm operates at all times within any Environmental, Health and Safety consent or obligation.
  • Perform safe and controlled release of wind turbines and associated plant for planned maintenance.
  • Respond remotely to turbine alarms and grid instructions.
  • Monitor the offshore HV network.
  • Act as a central contact for coordination in Emergency Response and incident reporting.
  • Conduct planning reviews that require collaboration with contractors on site.
  • Ensure compliance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), site grid obligations and any other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure asset availability is high and in line with contractual obligations.
  • Compliance with all HSE and Quality legislation, company and any site-specific requirements by the teams and reporting of any incidents to the PM updating and maintaining relevant systems.
  • Work flexibly to provide input into wider offshore wind O&M topics including taking delegated authority on an occasional basis.
  • Identify and target areas in which the site and wider business can improve.
  • Play an active role in supporting the wider business including but not limited to safety, quality, technical competence, operational excellence, wind farm development, OEM, and client interfaces.
  • Represent, when needed, EDF UK in Asset Operations meetings, tradeshows, conventions.

What do you need to be great at this role?

You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining clear and confident communication under pressure.

A strong competence in coordinating contractors or subcontractors is ideal but not essential, along with a sound understanding of Safe Systems of Work.

The role requires someone who can remain calm and apply logical thinking in high-pressure situations, supported by strong organisational and analytical skills to ensure the delivery of tasks in a structured and methodical manner.

It is desirable that you have knowledge of the application of UK-based Wind Turbine Safety Rules as well as standard industry High Voltage Operating procedures and safety rules. Familiarity with the operation of offshore wind farms and associated infrastructure-such as Balance of Plant (BOP), Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), and Offshore Transmission Owners (OFTO)-is also advantageous.
Additionally, an understanding of maritime legislation and standards would be beneficial.

Strong IT skills are required, including the proficient use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems or similar Customer Relationship Management software.
Finally, you should have the ability to quickly build rapport and form effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
