About the Role

Are you an experienced HR Manager ready to shape the future of a critical workforce? Do you enjoy leading change, influencing senior stakeholders and supporting operational excellence? At EDF, Success is Personal - and your impact will be felt every day. As our Human Resources Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting station performance through people‑led solutions, driving engagement and capability across a highly skilled workforce. You'll influence strategic decisions and have the opportunity to think and lead differently, as we continue our defueling journey and progress towards our transfer to Nuclear Restoration Services. This role is based on site at our Dungeness B Power Station in Kent, where you'll be with the team 3/4 days a week, but we’re happy to discuss flexible options to make it work for you. Our team is present to build strong relationships, understand challenges first‑hand and support a collaborative, high‑performing culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering pragmatic HR solutions that support station objectives and operational performance
  • Leading and supporting change programmes as the station transitions through defueling and into decommissioning
  • Partnering with leaders to plan resourcing, talent development and succession strategies
  • Managing employee relations, including engagement with trade unions and key stakeholders
  • Overseeing HR operations; ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery on site

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Human Resources Manager who brings strong generalist HR experience and thrives in a complex, regulated environment. You’ll be confident influencing senior stakeholders and comfortable balancing strategic priorities with day‑to‑day delivery.

  • Delivering HR support within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Managing employee relations with trade union involvement
  • Leading or contributing to organisational change programmes
  • Applying UK employment law and HR best practice in a practical setting
  • Holding CIPD Chartered status or equivalent experience

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a competitive starting salary, potential for an annual bonus and a market‑leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days and more. Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.
