Shape the organisation behind one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. Sizewell C is building a new generation of nuclear power for Britain. As we move from development into delivery, maintaining the organisational capability required to safely and successfully operate in a highly regulated environment has never been more important.

We're seeking an experienced Nuclear Organisational Capability Lead to take ownership of our LC36 Organisational Capability arrangements, ensuring Sizewell C continues to have the people, structures, skills and governance required to deliver nuclear safety and environmental management responsibilities. This is a rare opportunity to influence how a nationally significant project manages organisational change, workforce capability and regulatory compliance at scale.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading Sizewell C's LC36 Organisational Capability arrangements.
  • Owning the Nuclear & Environmental Baseline (NBEB) and ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Leading Management of Organisational Change (MoC) governance and assessment activities.
  • Providing expert advice and coaching to senior leaders on organisation design, capability risk and organisational change.
  • Identifying organisational capability vulnerabilities and developing mitigation plans.
  • Supporting regulatory engagement with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and Environment Agency.
  • Driving continuous improvement across organisational capability processes and governance.
  • Contributing strategic insight into workforce planning, critical skills management and organisational resilience.

Why this role is different

This is not a traditional HR, Organisation Development or Learning & Development role. We're looking for someone who understands how organisational capability underpins safety, compliance and operational delivery in a highly regulated environment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that organisational decisions support nuclear safety, regulatory compliance and long-term project success. Your work will directly influence how Sizewell C manages capability risks, organisational resilience and strategic workforce planning.

Who we’re looking for

You may currently be working in:

  • Nuclear Operations
  • Nuclear Safety & Assurance
  • Organisational Capability / LC36 Governance & Regulatory Compliance
  • Major Infrastructure
  • Defence
  • Nuclear Energy, Rail, Aviation or other high-hazard industries

You’ll bring:

  • Experience working within regulated or high-hazard environments.
  • Expertise in organisational capability, governance, assurance or organisational change.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience interpreting complex organisational and workforce data.
  • The ability to engage confidently with senior leaders and regulators.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities and improvements.

Experience of LC36, organisational capability governance, Nuclear & Environmental Baselines or Management of Organisational Change would be highly desirable.

Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy. Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future. EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK.
