About the Role

The Opportunity

We\’re looking for a new Maintenance Work Cycle Planner to join our highly experienced and multi-skilled team in the Work Management Department at Torness Power Station. The Work Management Group is responsible for planning all work on-site to maintain Compliance with the Site Licence, all Statutory Regulations as well as delivery of the Station\’s Maintenance Policies and defect repairs.

In this role, you will be required to co-ordinate and schedule maintenance activities across departments that ensure safe & efficient delivery to support reliable operation of the plant.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £39,543 to £68,958 with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. However, the starting salary for this appointment will be within the range of £39,543 to £54,582 dependant on the successful candidate\’s competence and experience.

What You\’ll Be Doing

We\’re seeking a skilled planner to support efficient maintenance operations and enhance performance across work management processes.

Reporting to the Work Management Group Head, you will develop and manage effective schedules for plant maintenance and repairs, as well as create Work Week plans that meet Site Licence, regulatory, and compliance standards.

You will be the one who understands power station systems inside out-with a clear grasp of their safety roles and the essential tools for design and fault diagnosis.

Collaborating with stakeholders to champion EDF\’s Work Management approach, you will plan activities aligned with priorities such as Equipment Reliability, Operational Focus, and Fire Safety.

As well as contributing to the achievement of departmental and station business goals, you will also lead post-execution reviews to capture insights and identify improvements.

Who You Are

As a planner, you will be self-motivated, resilient and have a positive attitude towards your work. The role requires you to be able to work well as part of a team and have the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate across many working groups.

We are looking for you to have had previous experience of Nuclear, or in an industrial maintenance environment, as well as experience in planning principles.

As a minimum, entrants will be educated to GCSE/National Qualification standards (or equivalent). Additional support is available to encourage further training and development.
