As a Smart Meter Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring our metering services meet the highest standards of safety and compliance, supporting our journey towards An Electric Britain. Your work will directly influence customer trust and operational excellence.
This is a field-based role covering North London, East London and Greater London, so you will need to be local and comfortable with regular travel to one of these sites.
From carrying out live and post-installation checks to providing constructive feedback that supports learning, you will help shape a culture where quality is owned by everyone. We will support your development with opportunities to gain additional qualifications and grow your technical expertise.
Who You Are
We are recruiting for two Smart Meter Quality Inspectors who are confident, collaborative and committed to doing things safely and properly. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Dual fuel qualification in smart metering with solid field experience
- Strong technical knowledge and practical understanding of industry standards
- Experience in incident investigations and writing statements
- Ability to work independently and manage time and travel effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence with IT and data to identify trends and drive improvements
What You Will Be Doing
- Carrying out quality assurance checks on live and completed installations
- Providing constructive feedback to engineers and contractors
- Collaborating with operational leaders to identify trends and share insights
- Supporting continuous improvement in safety, compliance and quality
- Using data to address root causes and improve performance
