Purpose of the role:
A highly skilled Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) Manager is sought to join the Digital Quality Team at BYLOR undertaking the Main Civil Works at Hinkley Point C.
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:
- Oversee the quality arrangements of all BYLOR Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) and related 'End' Reports.
- Line management responsibilities for the team responsible for compiling BYLOR self-delivered works across all work packages.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is handed over promptly after construction activities.
- Provide oversight of Tier 2 Record Strategy ensuring alignment to BYLOR's processes.
- Develop, maintain and implement strategic plans for LTQR management across all projects and work packages.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute process improvements to enhance team efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Establish standardized procedures and workflows aligned with BYLOR's LTQR procedure and industry standards.
- Monitor and optimize digital systems operations (ASITE, Teamcenter, and other EDM platforms).
- Ensure all documentation, procedures, and training materials are up to date and fit-for-purpose.
- Quality assurance: Ensure all project LTQR deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Compliance: Ensure that BYLOR's and Supply chains record-keeping practices adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in records management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with BYLOR's Delivery teams, internal and external stakeholders to ensure LTQR Management 'Best Practices' are followed.
- Management of List of Deliverables: Ensuring accurate population and maintenance of metadata.
- Support with the management of Snag lists and Exception Items, ensuring any outstanding issues or defects are captured for full transparency.
- Use designated digital platforms and Electronic Data Management Systems for submitting, retrieving, and sharing.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the team overseen include:
- Production of LTQRs: Identifying, snagging, compiling, QA checking, and submitting/retrieving records.
- Liaising with project delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Operating digital systems for records management.
- Managing lists of exception items and snags.
- Supporting completion and handover of work packages.
Essential skills & knowledge:
ATTITUDE
- Demonstrated experience in records management, quality assurance, or document control.
- Strong knowledge of LTQR procedures, document management systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient with digital platforms and EDMS (experience with ASITE and/or Teamcenter preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
- Self-starter who takes the initiative, is tenacious and passionate about quality and continuous improvement.
- Good attention to detail and appreciation for the importance of being organised, accurate record keeping and conforming with project procedures.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
COMMUNICATION
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder engagement.
- Enjoy working in a team and work well with others.
TECHNOLOGY / IT SKILLS
- Comfortable learning new software and showing others how to use it.
- Comfortable with BYLOR digital forms platform – Field View.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficient in EDMS (Electronic Document Management systems such as Asite and Teamcenter).
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in delivering handover of Major Projects.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary delivery.
- 5 or 10+ years' experience in records management.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers.
