The Multi-tech Engineer is responsible for assisting in undertaking planned and reactive maintenance tasks and ensuring that the facilities team provide a safe and secure environment that enables the client's staff to concentrate on their business activities with minimum disruption. You will be an integral part of the site maintenance team in ensuring that the office facilities run smoothly and are successful in supporting business activities and for providing a professional service for our client.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Health & Safety Codes of Safe Working and other Environmental issues to ensure total compliance with both EDF/Dalkia Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
- Report any omissions or risks that might compromise a Safe Working Environment.
- Receive electronic PPM instructions from the Aurora system and undertake all maintenance tasks in accordance with these instructions.
- Ensure all maintenance consumables are available and arrange replenishment of all items to ensure agreed stock levels are established.
- Complete all electronic and paper records, such that an accurate Site Logbook record of all works remains on site for the Client's information and approval.
- Be able to undertake any diagnostic analysis that the whole system may require.
- Undertake a visual condition inspection of all installed equipment and submit a written report of any items that appear to jeopardise any aspects of reliability.
- Enter dialogue with the Client's representative to ensure there are no outstanding issues and to ensure the overall quality of service delivery.
- Carry out general maintenance and good housekeeping practices.
- If appropriate report on the performance of any sub-contracted works.
- Attend to all reasonable emergency call-out requests as speedily as possible and maintain good communications with the Client with the progress of all outstanding works.
- Make recommendations to the Manager on matters concerning continuous improvement and "adding value" that may improve the productivity, costs, quality of service delivery, etc. of all work for which the Company has a responsibility.
- Complete all Dalkia maintenance tasks as generated by Dalkia Helpdesk.
- Ensure plant areas Dalkia are responsible for are always clean and tidy.
- Stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
- Participate in the daily duties of a Multi-tech Engineer (varies depending on the project and employer).
Qualifications or Required Experience
- Clean Driving Licence.
- Be willing to undertake regular drugs and alcohol testing.
- C&G Level 2 in Electrical or greater.
- 18TH Edition.
- Knowledge of Mechanical.
- Basic knowledge in A/C Systems.
- Basic I.T skills as tablet will be supplied for Health and Safety reporting, Timesheets, PPM's and Reactive works.
- Role in a similar position preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well without supervision.
- Highly motivated.
- Qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH or similar) if possible.
