During your Joint Technical Centre Industrial Placement, you will play a key role in supporting the work to extend the life of Sizewell B, focussing on one of the key programmes of Structural Integrity, Control & Instrumentation, Equipment Qualification or Ageing and Obsolescence.
You will gain valuable exposure to large programmes of technical work, understanding the lifecycle of technical work from planning through to delivery of safety justifications, and the importance of stakeholder engagement, risk management, and compliance activities.
To be eligible for this scheme, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Materials or a related discipline.

This 12‑month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at both Sizewell B Power Station and Gloucester Business Park.
The Sizewell B Joint Technical Centre holds a key role in supporting the company ambition to extend the life of Sizewell B Power Station by 20 years, providing low carbon generation until 2055. Taking on a real job at a junior level, you’ll gain invaluable hands‑on experience while being mentored by highly skilled professionals.
