About the Role
Join us as a Travelling Wind Turbine Technician at our wind farm in Goole! We are EDF power solutions – a dedicated and forward‑thinking owner‑operator with an extensive pipeline of new wind projects, committed to your safety, well‑being, and a great employee experience.
Reward: £36,500 - £48,500 according to experience (graded reward package).
Working hours: New Technician (37hrs) plus overtime available.

What you’ll do:
As we expand our fleet of wind turbines in the UK, we’re looking for Travelling Wind Turbine Technicians to take the technical lead on onboarding newly acquired turbines while also helping to elevate our expertise on GE and Senvion platforms. This role is perfect for someone who loves travelling across the UK and has turbine maintenance and troubleshooting skills, eager to share knowledge, resolve issues, and support the team in getting these turbines up to our high operational standards.
- Become a Multi‑Skilled Authorised Technician under the EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules working on one or more Wind Turbine Variants.
- Opportunity to become a High Voltage Single Feed Senior Authorised Person under EDFR E&M Safety Rules.
- Undertake Major Component (Gearbox, Generator, Transformer, etc.) Replacements.
- Complex fault finding and repair on Electrical, Hydraulic and Converter Systems both remotely and at the Wind Turbine.
- Complete Scheduled Maintenance to high standards and take pride in the assets that you maintain.
- Complete internal & external technical and safety training to develop your skills.
- Typically work in a two‑person working party within a supportive team environment.

Who are you?
- Physically fit, safety‑focused, and love hands‑on work.
- Capable of working at height (within and outside the turbine) and in exposed and remote locations.
- Enthusiastic about green energy.
What skills do you need?
You’ll be a skilled engineer with great electrical maintenance experience, having worked on three‑phase systems or heavy plant electrical. Previous experience on wind farms is beneficial, but not essential. We can train you to multi‑skill.
Location: Goole Service Centre – Goole, East Yorkshire, DN14 6XL. For this role, you will generally be located within 45 minutes of the site and have a full UK driver’s licence. You will be open to travelling to other sites to support where necessary.
