The Opportunity

As a Finance Analyst, you’ll play a key part in supporting our work towards an Electric Britain by delivering high‑quality finance services across month‑end reconciliations and financial controls. You’ll join a collaborative team committed to excellent service and continuous improvement. This Finance Analyst position is a great opportunity for someone looking to establish a career in finance. EDF will provide support for those wanting to pursue professional qualifications and exams. You’ll join us on a competitive starting salary, determined by your experience and qualifications you hold. You’ll work in a hybrid pattern that blends time at home with time spent collaborating with colleagues at Atlantic Quay. Typically, you’ll spend 2‑3 days in the office both during your training period and after. We really value collaborative working. You’ll also travel occasionally to other UK locations for meetings, helping you stay connected across the wider business. Through hands‑on learning, supporting audits, and working closely with both onshore and offshore colleagues you’ll build a strong foundation in financial processes. You’ll help shape improvements within Finance Shared Services while gaining the experience you need to progress your career.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Finance Analyst who brings structure, accuracy and a collaborative approach to their work. Are you experienced in…?

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP or a similar financial system would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a customer service or shared services environment
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to provide accurate balance sheet reconciliations with supporting evidence

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting month end activities across Financial Accounting Services
  • Preparing accurate balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting evidence
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger
  • Working with onshore and offshore teams as activities transition to new delivery models
  • Identifying process improvements and supporting audit requirements
  • Supporting the external audits for the year
