General Construction Operative - Carpentry

The main part of your job will be:

• Carrying out construction site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, operating plant, general groundworks, and concreting.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and are compliant with company policies and procedures, maximising all controllable factors to meet external quality targets.
• Attending safety updates and workplace communications to ensure works are carried out safely and to the best possible standard.
• Working within a great team that works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client.

We're looking for people with a positive attitude, who are also great team players. Safety is key for us and we're looking for people who demonstrate an awareness and behaviour for all things health, safety, and wellbeing.

To be successful, you'll need:

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a carpenter, with additional experience in construction/groundworks.
• Experience in pipe laying, drainage, concrete finishing, kerbing, utility installations and manhole construction.
• In addition, you may have experience in formwork construction, steel fixing and working on site at HPC; however, this is not essential for this role as additional training will be provided.
• Plant tickets are desirable for this role.
