We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This flexible part-time role offers the opportunity to work any 3 long days between Monday and Friday or 5 short days, making it ideal for someone seeking work-life balance while contributing to a busy and supportive finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Recording financial transactions and posting journals using Sage
- Raising purchase orders and processing supplier invoices
- Posting weekly payroll information and company expenses
- Managing supplier accounts, reconciliations, and payment queries
- Processing BACS payment runs and reconciling bank accounts
- Supporting month-end reporting and client payment applications
- Raising client invoices relating to applications and fuel costs
- Assisting with audits and ad hoc financial analysis
- Ordering IT equipment, office stationery, and miscellaneous supplies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Finance experience is preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience using Sage accounting software
- AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
