Are you energised by solving complex technical challenges and leading others to deliver meaningful change? Do you thrive in high-impact environments where your decisions shape the future of clean energy in the UK? If you’re passionate about innovation, collaboration, and helping Britain reach Net Zero, this is your opportunity to make a real difference on one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe.

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. We’re looking for an Engineering Delivery Oversight Manager to lead technical governance and oversight within our HPC Technical Directorate. You’ll be at the forefront of driving risk reduction, streamlining delivery, and ensuring technical excellence across a wide range of engineering topics. Working closely with internal and external partners, you’ll help shape the future of nuclear energy in the UK, ensuring HPC is ready for licensing, start-up, and long-term success.

In addition to a salary of £75,000 depending on experience, we offer flexible benefits that support our employees’ physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Examples include: a market-leading company pension scheme, a bonus plan, health cover, electric vehicle leasing, mental health support and employee discounts.

We embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you’re in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

In this role, you’ll lead the strategic oversight of engineering delivery, ensuring decisions are grounded in safety, quality, time, and cost. You’ll be responsible for developing and evolving a multi-year strategy that supports the successful delivery of HPC through to operations. You’ll chair key governance forums, drive closure of technical gaps, and ensure our oversight processes are lean, agile, and fit for purpose. Your work will directly influence how we manage risk, make decisions, and report progress across the project.

You’ll also lead a small team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning stakeholders, simplifying complexity, and delivering technical clarity across the programme.

You’ll bring a technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, along with a strong track record of leading complex engineering programmes. Your ability to unite diverse stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes will be key to your success. You’re confident managing multi-million-pound budgets and navigating technical and commercial challenges. You can switch seamlessly between detailed technical discussions and high-level strategic conversations, and you’re comfortable engaging at all levels, including board and director level.

Your broad engineering background—spanning disciplines such as mechanical, safety case, inspection, or materials—enables you to interpret and apply technical information effectively. You’re also passionate about developing others and creating an inclusive, high-performing team. Experience in the nuclear sector and familiarity with regulatory environments is highly valued. Fluency in English is essential, and French language skills are a bonus.

If you’re interested in embarking in this role where your blend of technical & problem-solving abilities, leadership skills and stakeholder management are key to success, we want to see your application! Join us and together we can help Britain achieve Net Zero.

Applications for this role close: Sunday 8th June with interviews following shortly after.
