The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.

• Key Tasks and Accountabilities
• Provide overall technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering projects, from concept through completion.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices and quality control procedures.
• Manage delivery of contractor and temporary works design. Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop project engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, project managers, clients and external stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support business development efforts by providing technical input for proposals and bids.
• Oversee management and execution of temporary works or lifting (subject to suitable experience).
• Review ITPs and RAMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStruct E or equivalent).
• Relevant experience in civil engineering, including leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale or complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil design standards and construction methods.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business and operational objectives.
• CSCS Card.
• Additional Skills
• Digital information and modelling knowledge.
• ISO‑19650 and PAS:8811 familiarity.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with engineering and project management software.
• Experience in a Nuclear Environment.
• Experience as CRE or CEM.
