As a Solar, Storage and Private Wire Health and Safety Specialist, you’ll support projects across their full lifecycle – from development through construction into operations. You’ll help teams identify and reduce risk, learn from events, and keep people safe as we scale rapidly. Alongside a competitive salary, company vehicle and potential for an annual bonus, this is a flexible, hybrid role. You’ll work from home, with visits to sites mainly across the South East, and attend our London office for meetings and collaboration. Travel and occasional overnight stays are expected.

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Specialist who is practical, proactive and confident in construction environments. You’ll be comfortable working on site and supporting teams to apply strong health and safety standards. To be shortlisted, you will need:

  • Previous experience in health and safety in a construction environment.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel and stay overnight when needed.
  • Good IT skills for reporting and communication.
  • Ability to work on and walk around active construction sites.
  • Electrical knowledge and experience in SSoW and Safety from the System would be an advantage but not essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Promoting EDF Power Solutions’ Zero Harm ambition across solar, storage and private wire projects.
  • Providing practical health and safety advice across development, construction and operations.
  • Carrying out site visits, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Supporting incident investigations and sharing learnings to drive improvement.
  • Collaborating with project teams and contractors to strengthen safe systems of work.

Alongside a competitive salary, company use vehicle, annual bonus potential, and a market‑leading pension scheme, we offer flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle – from electric vehicle leasing and private healthcare to extra holiday and more.
