Responsibilities
The UK Manufacturing Control team is responsible for the surveillance of equipment manufacturing for HPC and SZC EPR projects in the UK, to ensure that the manufacturing from the suppliers is fulfilled with the expected level of quality, in accordance with the specified requirements. The UK Manufacturing Control team aim to provide adequate and reactive in-shop surveillance for manufacturing activities in the UK for these projects. Within its scope of delegated authority, UKMC also provides technical support to the HPC site for the resolution of technical manufacturing issues arising on equipment delivery. UKMC is part of EDF EPR Engineering UK. Our team comprises approximately 20 people, including 5 qualified equipment engineers.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent in mechanical or materials engineering
- Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in metallurgy, materials, or welding
- Positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders
