Plan, prepare and deliver highly effective training, in the workplace and college.
Develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to learner needs.
Undertake apprenticeship programme observations, predominantly in the workplace but also in college where required.
Deliver high quality assessment and feedback to exceed awarding body quality standards.
Complete workplace three-way reviews with learners and employers, recording progress and setting targets for the next learning period.
Provide Additional Learning Support as required, to enable all learners to make positive progress towards timely success.
Promote opportunities for personal development that prepares learners for their intended job, career aim and/or personal goals.
Support learners to continually progress their knowledge and skills of English and maths.
Prepare learners for End Point Assessment on their apprenticeship programme.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (Minimum Level 3 or equivalent industry experience).
- Possess significant recent experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. This could include Battery Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, High-Volume Manufacturing, Chemical Processing, or Electrical Engineering.
- A strong understanding of modern manufacturing processes (e.g., automated assembly lines, quality control systems, PLCs, or chemical handling). Specific knowledge of battery cell, module, or pack assembly is advantageous but not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates an aptitude for process engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 8D problem solving is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience working within strict Health & Safety guidelines (e.g., High Voltage awareness, chemical safety, or LOTO procedures).
- Hold the minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving within the role.
- Hold an assessor qualification (D32/D33/A1) or be willing to work towards one.
- Have the ability to motivate learners and ensure they achieve.
- High levels of motivation and have the ability to use own initiative.
- Have the ability to travel, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
- For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
