About the Role

Ready to lead engineering excellence at one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects? Want to shape the future of nuclear energy and help Britain achieve net zero? At EDF, Success is Personal - and with us, your career journey is yours to shape.

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer Coordinator at Hinkley Point C, you'll be at the forefront of commissioning activity on one of the UK's most significant low carbon infrastructure projects. You'll guide multiple DMIC (Design, Manufacture, Installation & Commissioning) Teams through the full commissioning lifecycle, ensuring every stage — from preparation to completion — meets the standards expected on a first of a kind nuclear build. This is a hybrid role based at Hinkley Point C with flexibility to work from home, though regular on-site presence 2-3 days per week will be essential to stay close to delivery.

This is your opportunity to contribute directly to a project powering around six million homes with clean energy. You'll align contractor commissioning arrangements with NNB expectations, oversee the completion of all DMIC commissioning prerequisites, and ensure the NNB Commissioning Team is fully prepared to carry out effective surveillance — all while helping drive the project toward safe, high quality, on time delivery.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Project Engineer Coordinator with strong technical insight and a focus on safe, high quality delivery. We’re looking for candidates who can offer some of the following:

  • Experience in commissioning power plants or coordinating multiple contractors in complex project environments.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality assurance and quality control standards.
  • Commercial and contract awareness to navigate DMIC contract requirements.
  • Proven success working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple scopes and maintain clear oversight.
  • The ability to communicate technical information simply and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and industry compliance expectations, including CDM knowledge.
  • Hands on project management experience within nuclear or other highly regulated industries.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensuring supply chain partners deliver commissioning activities and documentation in line with contract and project requirements.
  • Building strong working relationships with contractors, project managers, quality leads, site engineering teams, and plant operations.
  • Acting as the key interface for commissioning, defining and managing interactions across all stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining DMIC Commissioning trackers to track deliverables, evidence, and schedule adherence.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the Commissioning Delivery Team and Project Managers to enable clear communication and efficient engagement.
  • Providing a consistent point of contact for all DMIC contract matters, ensuring alignment with the end to end commissioning process.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a salary from £45,000 with potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
