Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Site Operations Manager to lead our Bridgwater site, ensuring operational KPIs are met, safety standards are upheld, and teams are developed to deliver excellence.

At Hinkley Point C, we’re building two new nuclear reactors - the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

As a Tier One partner to Nuclear New Build (NNB), we provide warehousing and transportation services critical to the success of this project.

This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, managing teams, contractors, and visitors.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate site operations and meet processing volumes.
  • Lead from the front on service delivery, budgetary KPIs, and contractual commitments.
  • Ensure all shift activities comply with SOPs, SSOWs, and safety procedures.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and career progression within your team.

  • NEBOSH
  • CITB MAPS
  • What You Need To Succeed
  • Proven experience in warehouse/distribution operations within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with stakeholder management experience.
  • IT literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly; NEBOSH or CITB MAPS advantageous.
  • A safety-first mindset with knowledge of HSEQ and regulatory compliance.
