Job Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation's Learning & Development strategy in line with business objectives.
• Manage the team member learning journey, including onboarding, induction, mandatory training and professional development.
• Design, develop and facilitate engaging in-house learning programmes, blending learning solutions using face-to-face, virtual and digital learning methods.
• Conduct organisational learning needs analysis and workforce capability assessments, partnering with managers to identify skills gaps and development priorities.
• Coordinate external training, qualifications and apprenticeship programmes.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), training records and compliance reporting.
• Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness and learner experience, making recommendations to support continuous improvement and organisational capability.
• Manage the Learning & Development budget and resources effectively.
• Lead, coach and develop two Training Coordinators.
• Oversee Test Centre operations, performance, revenue, quality standards and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with CITB and ECITB awarding bodies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement initiatives to maximise Test Centre utilisation, revenue generation and candidate satisfaction.
• Produce reports and insights on learning, compliance and operational performance.

Qualifications

Experience

• CIPD Level 5 qualification in Learning & Development (or equivalent experience). Significant experience in Learning & Development, Training or Talent Development.
• Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning programmes using classroom, virtual, and digital methods.
• Previous people management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Experience within hospitality, customer service or multi-site environments.
• Experience managing and coordinating with external training and apprenticeship providers.
• Experience with leadership and management development.
• Knowledge of CITB and ECITB requirements.
