A full-time, permanent post in a Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead. The programme offers a “Earn, while you teach & learn” route and is part of a Salaried Schools Direct scheme. Paid on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1). Employed directly by the school from day one.
Higher initial teaching load of around 15 periods per week, increasing to approximately 20 periods per week. One dedicated training day per week. Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available). Work at one school throughout the programme.
Responsibilities:- Teach KS3–4 Maths with a focus on raising attainment.
- Carry out GCSE & A Level interventions.
- Support the Maths Department and monitor the quality of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school improvement.
- Maths graduate with a degree in one of the following: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Mathematics & Statistics, Economics, Mathematical Science, Physics, Computing, Data Maths, Finance, Accounting, Statistics.
