EdEx are working with a high-achieving Secondary School / Sixth Form in the Borough of Haringey who are looking to appoint a Senior Exams Officer for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a starting salary of £31,000, with the salary increasing as the role develops. The school are looking for someone with direct exams experience who can initially support the exams department in an Exams Assistant capacity for the first few months, before progressing into an Exams Officer / Exams Manager level role. Please note: candidates must have direct exams experience. General school administration experience will not be suitable for this role.
Senior Exams Officer – The Role
- You will be supporting the school’s examinations function across internal assessments, mock exams and public examinations.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the full exams cycle from entries through to results
- Liaising with exam boards, staff, students and invigilators
- Preparing timetables, seating plans and candidate information
- Supporting access arrangements and exam compliance
- Maintaining accurate exams records and documentation
- Ensuring exams are run in line with JCQ regulations
- Supporting results days and post-results services
- Taking on increased responsibility as the role develops
