A mainstream primary school in Lewisham is eagerly searching for a Teaching Assistant to support their pupils with SEMH & SEN in their Nurture Provision. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the children with their learning, as well as providing pastoral care to ensure their mental health and wellbeing is cared for.

This SEMH Teaching Assistant role is a rewarding, fulfilling job; however, you will be supporting vulnerable children who can present challenging behaviour at times, therefore patience and understanding is essential whilst you build a rapport and level of trust with the children.

This SEMH Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone with a genuine long-term interest in education, child psychology and mental health. Ideally, you will have prior experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH in some capacity, whether that’s in a school or not.
