We are seeking Teaching Assistants for a leading secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. These are full‑time permanent contracts, initially for 1 year with scope for teacher training in year 2. The school acts as an academically selective Sixth Form for students aged 16‑19, aiming to provide opportunities for pupils from lower socio‑economic backgrounds.

What you will do:

  • Inspire students with passion for and depth of understanding in your specialist subject.
  • Support students to develop habits of academic excellence during their Sixth Form years and beyond.
  • Ensure students develop literacy, numeracy, communication and oracy skills to thrive at university.
  • Provide pastoral support to develop confident, resilient young people.
  • Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to develop subject understanding and boost attainment.
  • Plan and deliver sessions on academic literacy, time management and study skills.
  • Support students applying to top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
  • Collaborate with academic and pastoral staff to identify and support target groups of students.
  • Coordinate with the SENDCO team and Deputy Head (Pastoral) to identify and screen pupils with special educational needs.

Who you are:

  • Academically gifted graduate from a Russell Group university, 1st class or 2:1 undergraduate degree.
  • Strong A‑Level and GCSE results (A*‑B desirable).
  • Ambitious, drive and resilience to help students reach beyond expectations.
  • Interest in gaining hands‑on experience in a world‑leading education setting and aspiration to train to teach.
  • Resilient, hard‑working and passionate about making a difference.
  • Able to inspire and motivate students.
  • Caring, humble and passionate about education.
  • Experience tutoring or mentoring young people is ideal.
  • Ready to take on small class teaching responsibilities after induction.
