Oxbridge Graduate – Aspiring Secondary Teacher Wandsworth

Are you an Oxbridge graduate with a passion for education and a long-term goal of becoming a secondary school teacher?

A high-performing and academically ambitious secondary school in Wandsworth is offering a unique opportunity for exceptional graduates to gain hands-on classroom experience in a structured, supportive environment. This full-time, term-time only role starts in September 2025 and is ideal for graduates looking to transition into teaching through routes such as Schools Direct, PGCE or salaried training.

Role Summary:

  • Support a subject-specialist department (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, etc.)
  • Work closely with pupils across KS3-KS4, with some exposure to KS5
  • Assist in delivering high-quality lessons and interventions
  • Receive ongoing training, mentoring, and CPD
  • Play a key role in driving academic progress and high aspirations

Salary & Start:

  • 110 – 120 per day
  • Mon – Fri (Term-time only)
  • Full-time position from September 2025 – July 2026 (with scope to train as a teacher the following year)

Person Specification:

  • 2:1 or First-Class Degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
  • Excellent academic background (e.g., AAA at A-Level or equivalent)
  • Subject strength and intellectual curiosity
  • A natural communicator with confidence and drive
  • Passion for education and a desire to make an impact
  • Committed to pursuing a career in teaching
