We are a holistic, modern primary school located in the heart of Barking & Dagenham seeking a full‑time, permanent HLTA who will start in September. This role suits an experienced Primary School Teaching Assistant or an aspiring Primary Teacher looking to gain classroom experience and support SEN. The successful candidate will work across all year groups, covering planning, PPA cover, and targeted interventions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned PPA cover lessons across the school
- Support students in all year groups, including mild SEN (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech and Language)
- Cover planned foundation subject lessons such as MFL, PSHE, RE, and Music
- Work in small groups or 1:1, using creativity to engage students with the Primary curriculum
Qualifications
- Degree at 1st Class/2:1 level – ideal
- Strong experience in education – essential
- Passionate about education
- Previous HLTA experience desirable
