EdEx are working with a high-performing Secondary School / Sixth Form in Haringey who are looking to appoint an Exams Officer for a September 2026 start. This is a full time, permanent position, starting on £31,000, with the salary increasing as the role develops. The school are looking for someone with direct exams experience who is ready to join a busy, successful exams department. You will initially support as an Exams Assistant for the first few months, before progressing into a more senior Exams Officer / Exams Manager role. Direct exams experience is essential for this role. General school admin experience alone will not be suitable.

As an Exams Officer, you will support the smooth running of internal and external examinations across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the full exams cycle
  • Managing exam entries, amendments and withdrawals
  • Preparing timetables, seating plans and candidate information
  • Liaising with exam boards, staff, students and invigilators
  • Supporting access arrangements and exam compliance
  • Maintaining accurate exam records and documentation
  • Assisting with mock exams and public exam periods
  • Supporting results days and post-results services
  • Ensuring exam processes follow JCQ regulations

The ideal Exams Officer will have:

  • Direct exams experience within a school, college, sixth form or education setting
  • A strong understanding of the exams cycle
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence working to strict deadlines
