A well-regarded Infant and Junior School in the Borough of Harrow seeks a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2026.

This is a term‑time only, full‑time role paid on a daily rate.

What will this Primary SEN Teaching Assistant position involve?

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Assisting with EHCP targets and adapting activities to suit individual needs
  • Supporting class teachers in managing behaviour and promoting engagement
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Liaising with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals when needed

About the role

  • Supporting children with SEN across EYFS, KS1 and lower KS2
  • Working closely with class teachers and SEN team
  • £105 - £115 per day – Term‑Time Only – Daily rate based on experience
  • September start – Full‑time role
  • Based in the London Borough of Harrow

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or similar setting
  • Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
