A high‑achieving Secondary School in Havering is seeking a Geography Teacher / Geography ECT for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full‑time contract.

The Head of Geography is looking for an ambitious Geography Teacher / Geography ECT who is keen to add value to a successful Geography Department. The school is renowned for supportive SLT, strong Progress 8, excellent behaviour and genuine career progression. It is well invested in the Education sector, setting new teaching practices, developing their own staff and heavily investing in CPD, coaching and wellbeing.

ECTs are welcomed and will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke ECT induction, have a dedicated mentor, regular observations, in‑house and out‑of‑house training and the chance to work alongside a range of young and experienced Geography Teachers.

Person Specification:

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Geography Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
