An ambitious and high-performing Secondary School in Tower Hamlets is searching for a Science Learning Mentor to join their team from September 2026. This exciting full-time opportunity is ideal for a graduate with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry or Physics who is passionate about education and inspiring young people within STEM subjects.

As a Science Learning Mentor, you will support students across KS3, KS4 and KS5, helping to raise attainment and confidence within Science lessons. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom support and help students who may need additional academic or pastoral guidance. The school is particularly interested in graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology or wider education settings. This role will provide excellent experience working alongside experienced teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams within a supportive school environment.

Job Description
  • Supporting students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
  • Providing 1:1 and small group intervention sessions within Science
  • Supporting students in Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons
  • Assisting pupils with SEN including ADHD, ASD and Speech & Language needs
  • Helping to improve student confidence, engagement and attainment
  • Working closely with the Science Department and SEN team

  • Must hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree in a Science-related subject from a reputable university
