EdEx is working with a long‑standing primary school in Tower Hamlets, seeking a vibrant and engaging Teaching Assistant to join the team. The school values compassion, reliability, and enthusiasm and offers support to pupils in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), KS1, KS2, and pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs). If you are a graduate who can contribute to the school’s values of respect, resilience, and readiness, this role is for you.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant you will provide general support to pupils and deliver targeted 1:1 support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Global Delay, and Down Syndrome. You will also assist with classroom management, carry out interventions, and deliver programmes tailored to children’s needs.
Role:
- Provide support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with SEN & behavioural requirements.
- Work with groups of children to carry out valuable interventions.
- Use creativity and compassion to excite and educate pupils.
- Strong inclusion team support.
Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children.
- A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for children to flourish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and confident in using innovation to create fun and exciting activities.
