High-achieving Secondary School is seeking a dedicated English Literacy Tutor to join the team on a part-time basis – 4 days per week – starting September 2026. The role offers the opportunity to support students requiring additional help with literacy, reading comprehension, written communication and overall confidence in English. This position is suitable for an aspiring English Teacher, English graduate, experienced tutor or education professional looking to gain meaningful classroom experience within a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted literacy interventions across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Support students with reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group tuition sessions.
- Assist pupils who need extra support to improve literacy attainment.
- Support students with dyslexia, speech and language needs, and literacy gaps.
- Work closely with the English Department and SENCO.
- Term‑time only commitment.
