A fantastic Secondary School in Hertfordshire is on the hunt for Aspiring Geography Teachers for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time, permanent post. Please note, the salary is based upon experience and on a scale.

This Aspiring Geography Teacher Program is being offered as a “Earn, while you teach & learn” route – which in turn is a Salaried Schools Direct scheme.

  • Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
  • Employed directly by a school from day one
  • Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
  • Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
  • One dedicated training day per week
  • Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)
