Are you a high achieving Science graduate keen on a career in teaching? If so, EdEx are working with a Good Outstanding Secondary School on the outskirts of Slough who are looking for a Science graduate.

The role would see you initially start as an academic mentor, supporting Science classes and delivering independent interventions, before embarking on funded teacher training from September 2027.

  • September 2026: Start as a teaching assistant, supporting Science classes across the school, from KS3 to KS5.
  • Deliver interventions to encourage progress, targeting individual needs and ensuring students achieve the best outcomes.
  • Throughout the year, slowly pick up a teaching timetable, fully supported by a mentor.
  • Daily rate: £115.
  • July 2027: Become a permanent member of staff with the school as an unqualified teacher and get paid over summer holidays!
  • Training Salary: £30k+.
  • September 2027: Begin a fully funded and salaried teacher training programme.
  • Receive full teacher training, developing you into an outstanding teacher.
  • July 2027: Receive QTS and have a job lined up for the following September.
